Dakota Hot Springs - Clothing Optional Hot Springs in Penrose, CO (formerly called The Well) Dakota Hot Springs is near Canon City. From Denver, take I-25 south to Colorado Springs. You will be taking CO115 to Canon City. It is just past some car dealerships on the right. There is only 1 sign for 115 so watch for it. Take 115 towards Canon City(west) until you hit CO50. Its about 30 miles or so. It will be after you pass through Penrose(and see the worlds biggest rocking chair, a highlight of the trip) Take CO50 towards Canon City and after about a mile you will see the signs for the Well on the left. Get ready for a 60 mph left turn. Turn left under the Well sign and follow the gravel road to the office. The cost is $15 for unaccompanied males and $10 each for couples. Its open from 10 till 10 everyday except Tuesday.
